Getting Involved!
There are a number of committees and events Coop residents and provisional members are welcome to join in with! This participation makes an essential contribution to what makes New Barracks such a pleasant place to live.
The Co-op rewards volunteering by issuing incentive points ~ the more you do the more you earn. The points can be spent on house and garden improvements or social events.
KIDZWIDREAMZ
An after school club at the Salford Lads Club is attended by many children from the Coop, and run by resident volunteers. Children can learn arts and crafts, play ball games and a range of enjoyable activities in a safe and supervised environment.

IN BLOOM
Our award winning In Bloom gardening committee works hard to bring a splash of colour to the Coop. In the spring and summer, we come together to plant bulbs and shrubs on Regent Square and other communal green areas. We also provide discounted plants and gardening resources so that residents can work to bring their own homes to bloom with hanging baskets.

SOCIAL EVENTS
Every year we host Halloween parties, celebratory events such as for the Jubilee, and Christmas Fairs in which all residents are welcome to join in organising as well as attending.

SUMMER PLAY SCHEMES AND AWAY DAYS
The Coop organises activities in the summer months for children and their families which does include a number of trips away to places such as theme park, Alton Towers. All Coop residents and their families are invited to come along!
